Kate Upton and Justin Verlander's wedding day was just as magical as you'd expect it to be!
After initially releasing just one photo from their nuptials, the loved-up couple finally took us inside their big day, sharing photos and intimate details from their November wedding in Tuscany, Italy, with Vogue magazine.
Upton told the publication that Tuscany topped their location list, as Italy was one of the first places the pair vacationed together. “We fell in love with the Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco resort because of its amazing history and incredible scenery," the 25-year-old model explained.
“It was really important to Justin and me that it feel like we were on vacation with our closest friends and family,” she added. “We set up an entire afternoon dedicated to interactive games, which we called the Uplander Olympics. Each guest received game-day rules, and everyone was divided into teams with custom Under Armour jerseys. The games included a ping-pong tournament, cornhole, a football toss, relay races and an epic water balloon fight!”
In one stunning black-and-white snapshot taken ahead of the ceremony, Upton, wearing her lacy white gown, can be seen putting in an earring, a final touch to her glamorous wedding look.
“For my ceremony dress, I had the pleasure of collaborating with the fantastic team at Valentino,” she explained. “They are the best at creating delicate, beautiful lace and details, and their Italian heritage kept the fashion and feel authentic to our venue. The design process was extremely collaborative, so I was able to really include my personal style and create my dream dress.”
Her jaw-dropping eight-carat round diamond ring can also be seen. Verlander worked with Anita Ko in creating the rock, as well as the newlyweds' wedding rings.
Upton's sisters, acting as co-maids of honor, wore custom-made, dusty rose Christy Rilling Studio silk-and-lace gowns, while Verlander's black Cicchini Custom Clothier tuxedo had a sweet surprise inside. “He had the idea to add a cute detail on the inside of the jacket that read: ‘Just Married’ when he held it open,” Upton revealed.
But as lovely as those details are, it's the photo of their first kiss that will truly take your breath away!
After the ceremony, candlelit steps led guests to the reception, held in historic medieval castle ruins where the night's "romance" theme continued with plenty of chandeliers, more candles and pink-and-white flowers. There was a pop of color with blue-and-white themed plates, which Upton noted were her "favorite [decor] touch." As if that wasn't stunning enough, a full greenhouse was constructed by Michelangelo Greenhouse to enhance rather than distract from the incredible grounds.
Then the newlyweds took the floor for their first dance, set to Michael Bublé’s “Everything," before Upton switched into a party-ready frock to finish the evening. “I wanted a dress that I could have fun in, but that still brought the glamour,” she said. “I worked with Christy Rilling Studio to create exactly what I’d envisioned.”
The amazing night didn't end there, however. While they cut their wedding cake, Verlander discovered that Upton had surprised him with a fireworks display!
So, yes, these two basically had the most romantic, perfect wedding of all time -- a wedding that took place slightly later than they had originally planned, however.
Upton and the 34-year-old MLB pro were originally set to tie the knot on Nov. 2, but Verlander was pitching in game seven of the World Series, which his Houston Astros went on to win.
Last month, the two recalled the ordeal while visiting The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon -- which included their friends and family kicking off the celebrations without them!
"Everybody's in Italy, everyone's at the venue. We had an event that night and everyone's texting us like, 'Your wedding's so pretty, wish you were here,'" Upton said.
"We got taken around our wedding via FaceTime," Verlander joked.
