Deep Ellum Brewing Co. closing taproom and brewhouse in Deep Ellum

Deep Ellum Brewing Co. will continue selling beers, but it's unclear where they will be produced.

DALLAS — Deep Ellum Brewing Co. is closing its taproom and brewhouse in Deep Ellum.

The brewery, which has been owned by Monster Beverage Corporation, since 2022, is closing its taproom and production facility of more than 12 years but said in a post on social media that it will continue to sell beer under the Deep Ellum name. It’s unclear where it will be produced, though.

“After 12+ amazing years of brewing and serving our beers in Deep Ellum, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our taproom and brewhouse,” the post read. “While our hearts are heavy with this news today, our love for Deep Ellum will always run deep.”

Deep Ellum Brewing Co., known for its lineup including Dallas Blonde and Deep Ellum IPA, was the first craft brewery to open in Dallas for more than two decades when it opened in an old paper company on the edge of Deep Ellum at 2823 St. Louis Street in 2011.
