BARRY, Texas — A woman was shot and killed in Navarro County, and her estranged husband has been arrested in the case, authorities said Sunday.
Sheriff's deputies responded Saturday to a shooting at a home in the 9300 block of Northwest 1339 in Barry, west of Corsicana.
When they arrived, they found a victim, Amy Clemons, inside the home with apparent gunshot wounds, according to a news release.
Deputies then detained a possible suspect outside of the home. An investigation led to an arrest warrant for murder being issued for the suspect.
His name is not being released until after his arraignment, though officials said he was Clemons' estranged husband.
He was taken to the Navarro County jail, where he remained in custody Sunday.
