GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — NOTE: The video above was uploaded at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Lanes on Interstate 30 were partially closed off Wednesday morning after a trailer carrying frozen chicken caught fire overnight.
The fire happened in the westbound lanes of I-30 near Loop 12. As of noon on Wednesday, two lanes were open for drivers to pass by.
Officials tell WFAA that the a semi-truck was pulling a trailer carrying 42,000 pounds of frozen chicken. The truck was travelling from Arkansas to Long Beach, California.
The driver said he originally pulled over due to an airbrake failure. He saw the fire once he got out of the semi.
No one was injured.
