NEVADA, Texas — Firefighters responded to a fire at a Collin County mansion Thursday afternoon.
The Josephine Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire just after 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, according to a press release from the department. The fire broke out at the 7,000-square-foot home located in the 500 block of Justin Place in Nevada, Texas.
Fourteen other departments provided aid to the firefighters due to the size of the fire and limited water supply, the release states.
"Josephine Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank all of our partners who worked tirelessly for hours to extinguish the fire," the release states.
The Collin County Fire Marshals Office is investigating the fire, the department said.
The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home is valued at $1.3 million on the real estate website Zillow, which classified it as "off-market."
At this time, it's unclear what caused the fire or if anyone was inside the home when it started.
