Stoneburg — Four people were injured Saturday morning in a helicopter crash during a guided hunt in Montague County, about an hour and a half northwest of Dallas, authorities said.
The single-engine helicopter with four people on board crashed into heavy trees four miles north of Stoneburg about 9:30 a.m., said Lt. Lonny Haschel, Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman.
The flight was part of a guided hunt on private property for wounded veterans.
Three people were taken to hospitals with "incapacitating injuries," Haschel said. One person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
More information about their injuries was not available.
The helicopter was a Hughes 369, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Tony Molinaro said.
The DPS and the FAA were still investigating the crash.
